GREAT BEND — Marylin Kay Ramsey, 79, went to be with her savior on July 7, 2017, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. She was born Sept. 19, 1937, at Greeley, Colo., the daughter of Clyde and Kathryn (Zieber) Mackey. She married William Dean “Bill” Ramsey June 19, 1958, at Las Vegas, Nev.  He died Dec. 2, 1991. A Great Bend resident since 1977, coming from Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Ramsey worked in real estate and insurance sales.

Mrs. Ramsey was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She loved traveling, cooking and spending time with family.

Survivors include one son, Butch Ramsey and his wife Melissa of Great Bend; two daughters, Kathye Phelps and her husband Rick of Ellinwood, and Kary Ramsey of Ellinwood; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Phelps; and one great-grandson, Christian “Bean” Wesley.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend with Pastor Tim Singleton officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Farmington Cemetery, Macksville. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2017, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with the Marylin Ramsey Memorial Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
