GREAT BEND — Robert Arno Jensen, 70, passed away August 3, 2018, at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend.  He was born August 2, 1948, at Great Bend, to Arno V. and Jessie Marie (Woods) Jensen.

Robert, a lifetime resident of Great Bend, retired from Aaron’s Repair as a machinist, previously working for Essex.  He served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Navy, obtaining the rank of Petty Officer Third Class.  He held dear to his heart his nephews and dogs.

Survivors include his two brothers, Frank Sell of Hutchinson and Jim Jensen of Valley Center;  four sisters, Carol Malone of Oolagah, OK., Joyce Wapelhorst of Great Bend, Janis Reed of Great Bend and Suzanne Gaschler of Belle, MO.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Jensen and Rodney Jensen; and one sister, Georgianna Jensen.

Memorial graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Randy Parr officiating.  There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.  A memorial fund has been established for the Robert Arno Jensen Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
