Gabriel Arraes and Felipe Baeza of the Barton Community College men’s soccer team have been named the KJCCC’s week five recipients of the player and goalkeeper honors.
The duo secured an equally offensive and defensive attack in the Cougars’ three victories this past week resulting to a move atop the Jayhawk West standings at 4-0-1 and jumping back into the national poll at No. 17 with an 8-1-1 record.
Fresh off a three win week including a road victory over a ranked opponent, Rayssa Neres and Reyna Gonzalez of the Barton Community College women’s soccer team has been named the KJCCC recipients of player and goalkeeper awards respectively for week five of the season.
The honors are the third consecutive week the Cougars have been awarded, the second time for each as Gonzalez earned week three’s goalkeeper award while Neres makes it consecutive weeks earning the player awards.
