HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) – Four Hutchinson radio stations that were knocked off the air by a fire could resume broadcasting this week.
The downtown studio that housed KSKU, KXKU, KNZS and KWHK was destroyed by fire Sept. 2. Investigators have ruled the overnight fire accidental and probably electrical.
The stations have moved into a temporary location nearby, and owner Cliff Shank tells KWCH-TV he’s waiting for one final piece of equipment to go back on the air.
Shanks also says a former insurance building in Hutchinson is being remodeled to serve as the stations’ future, permanent home.
The stations are operated by Shank company Ad Astra Per Aspera Broadcasting.
