Married Laura Ann Steinbacher August 12, 1959 at Great Bend, KS. She survives.
Ray was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas resident.
He was a guidance counselor at Harrison Junior High and taught Geography, History, and Driver’s Education at
Roosevelt Junior High. He later owned and operated Schenkel Construction for over 20 years.
He was active with the Barton County Historical Society. He also was a member of the Club at Stoneridge and served
as past president of the Lake Barton Golf Association.
