During his update to the Great Bend City Council, City Administrator Howard Partington told the governing body that the Fire Department has been a busy entity as of late.

The house is located at the corner of 18th and Morton, and has since been demolished. Last month, the Board of Education for Unified School District 428 bought the property for $9,000 from a local realtor for salvage value, to be used for additional parking at the High School.
