As we continue to feel the chill of winter weather, there are many things to keep in mind when it comes to safety on the roads. As unpredictable as Kansas weather can be, Barton County Emergency Management Director Amy Miller says to keep many things in mind when traveling.

Miller also suggests having a full tank of gas in your vehicle, cash on hand, as well as an emergency kit for certain situations. Miller says that by simply being prepared, everyone can stay safe and successfully reach their destinations.
