Married Basil Loyd Piland January 28, 1956 at Great Bend, Kansas. He died July 27, 2010.
She was a medical transcriptionist for forty-five years, working for Central Kansas Medical Center and Central Kansas Medical Park.
Mrs. Piland was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas resident.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Great Bend and was board president of Kansas Association for Health Care Documentation Integrity.
After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, served as a school crossing guard, and worked at the Great Bend Rapture Center and Zoo.

One Sister: Shirley Bundy of Madora, KS
Two Grandchildren: Joshua Ahrens and Dakota Piland
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Michael Anne Ahrens, one sister, Joyce Boepple, and by three brothers, Larry Boepple, Julian Boepple, and George Boepple.
