Panthers Remain Perfect In WAC Play

On Friday night, the Great Bend Panthers claimed at least a tie for the Western Athletic Conference title with a 37-14 victory over the Liberal Redskins.  Great Bend scored on their fist play from scrimmage with a trick play that resulted in a 61 yard touchdown pass from Jeremy Sigler to Connor Sell.  After two Panther turnovers the Redskins took a 14-7 lead, but the Panthers would come back to score 23 unanswered points on their way to the win.  Great Bend will open up district play next friday in Hays against the Hays High Indians.   Patrick Burnett spoke with Great Bend Head Coach Bo Black after the win.
