The Kansas City Chiefs have found a way to do without. After losing runningback Jamaal Charles, tightend Tony Moeaki, safety Eric Berry to season ending injury, the Chiefs are starting to show that they are not ready to pack it in this season.
Seldom used Jackie Battle rushed for a career high 119 yards on 19 carries and the Chiefs rallied from a 17-0 deficit to beat Indianapolis Sunday 28-24.
Kansas City trailed 17-0 with 11:51 left in the second quarter after the Colts Curtis Painter connected on a 67-yard scoring strike to Pierre Garcon, his second touchdown pass the to the Colts wide receiver in the first halt. After that however, the Chiefs outscored the Colts 28-7 to pick up their second win of the season.
Matt Cassell had his best game of the season, going 21-29 for 257 yards and 4 touchdowns, 2 each to Dwayne Bowe and Steve Breason.
After an 0-3 start, the Chiefs have won their last two games and are now 2-3 on the season. Kansas City now takes next Sunday off before playing at Oakland in two weeks.
