He was a member of First Christian Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid KU, K-State, and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was a train robber at Silver Dollar City.

He was granddad to dogs, Haley and Violet.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Van Winkle, Kay Wesley Moses, and Jane Sidebottom.
