OBITUARY INFORMATION

He married Marceline Marie Fergueson March 9, 1947 at Hugoton, KS. She died December 28, 1999.

Mr. Yost was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1949 moving from Lyons, KS.

He was a United States Army veteran serving during WW 2.

He had attended the First Southern Baptist Church, Great Bend, and was a member of the American Legion Argonne Post 180, Kansas Oil and Gas Association, and was an inducted member of the Kansas Oil and Gas Hall of Fame.

Mr. Yost was involved in all facets of the oil production industry, later owning and operating Yost Oil Company. For the last 17 years, he was an investor.

 

SURVIVORS

1 step daughter: Dorothy Caraway of Lufkin, TX.

Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marceline and step daughter, Bonnie Wyrick.

Graveside Service: Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Time of Service: 10:00 a.m.

Place of Service: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, KS

Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, at Bryant Funeral Home

Officiant: Rev. Dr. Doyle Smith

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas, with military honors conducted by the American Legion Riders

 

Memorial Fund: Elder Care or Harden Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
