Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts has scheduled a jury trial for Adam Longoria, the man accused of killing 14-year-old Great Bend resident Alicia DeBolt. Ron Keefover is the Spokesman for Kansas Judiciary Court. He said a 10-day Jury Trial for Adam Longoria has been scheduled for March 26th, 2012.
Jurors will be selected for the trial on March 26th, 2012 as part of the 10-day trial. The jury trial is scheduled to be held in Barton County District Court. Keefover said there will be a motions hearing before the actual jury trial on March 26th, but no motion hearing has been scheduled at this time.
Longoria is charged with Capital Murder, but the Kansas Attorney General’s office, the prosecution in the case, say they will not seek the death penalty, meaning if Longoria is convicted, he would face a sentence of life in prison without parole.
