OBITUARY INFORMATION

 

He owned and operated Mr. Tag’s Taxes and Bookkeeping, Great Bend.

Mr. Taggart was a Great Bend, Kansas, resident since 1978 coming from Oklahoma.

He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. 

He was a life member of the NRA.  He was an avid gun collector and was a volunteer chaplain at Great Bend Regional Hospital.

 

SURVIVORS

 

Four children:, Brad Taggart of NJ, Karen Keesee and her husband Darwin of Blue Springs, MO, Bryan Taggart and his wife Jill of Topeka, KS, and  Homer George “Chip” Taggart, IV and his wife Shelly of Overland Park, KS

three sisters: Marita Matos, Jean Johnson, Lynn Brue

three brothers: Lowell Swisher, Ken Taggart, Tom Taggart

Ten Grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, Danielle, Caleb, Carson, Molly, Angelina, Annalisa, Herschel, and Ben

Two Great-grandchildren: Makayla and Bailey

 

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

 

Funeral Service: Saturday, October 19, 2013

Time of Service: 2:30 p.m.

Place of Service: Bryant Funeral Home

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Visitation:  4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 and 9:00 a.m. to service time, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
