OBITUARY INFORMATION

 

Married Leona Kober January 31, 1965 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, KS

He was service manager at Marlette Homes until its closing then was owner and operator of Prosser Home Improvement, working as a finish carpenter.

Mr. Prosser was a lifelong Great Bend, Kansas area resident.

He was an Army National Guard veteran.  

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, charter member of Cheyenne Bottoms Sportsman Club, NRA, Kansas Wildlife Federation, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #646, and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and music, having played saxophone in a polka band.

one son: Jason Prosser and his wife Lisa of Leawood, KS

two daughters: Kelly Rucker and her husband Ron of Attica, KS, and Shawna Pocock and her husband John of Minnetonka, MN

four sisters: Luetta Haines and her husband John, Liberal, KS;  Wilma Stroud, Olathe, KS; Elaine Trantham and her husband Bill, Sharon, KS; and Charlotte Schartz and her husband Barry, Manhattan, KS

one brother: Fred Prosser and his wife Murine, Claflin, KS

Six Grandchildren: Marissa Rucker, Ryan Rucker, Morgan Pocock, Mary Pocock, Luke Prosser, and Reese Prosser

Vigil Service: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend

Inurnment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas at a later date

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: Holy Family School or Lasting Life Ministries for the benefit of Almost Home, Inc., in care of Bryant Funeral Home
