OBITUARY INFORMATION

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, John Peters lost the love of his life, his best friend, and the most beautiful girl in the world. Donna and John were married sixty-four years and were very dedicated to each other, always putting the other one first. When John met Donna, he knew instantly she was the girl for him.  They were married three months later on October 11, 1947 at Dodge City, Kansas, joined hearts, and truly became one for the next sixty-four years of life.

 

Donna’s passion was taking care of her family and making sure they had a big meal on the table. She was a talented seamstress and created many beautiful quilts for her family. Donna and John raised six children and cared for fourteen foster children over the years and helped many others in need.

One Sister: Carroll Kreutzer of Great Bend, KS

Grandchildren:  Twelve

Great-grandchildren:  Nine

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2011at Bryant Funeral Home

Officiant: The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas

Visitation:  1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: First Southern Baptist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
