OBITUARY INFORMATION
In 1954, she married Richard M. Basye and has resided in Hoisington for the last 62 years. Joyce worked at Hoisington Lutheran Hospital for over 20 years and then Fuller Brush for 25 years. Upon retiring, she worked for Clara Barton Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce was a loving and caring person to many and in return was deeply loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta and Lee Mathews, and a brother, James Mathews. Survivors include her devoted husband, Richard M. Basye of Hoisington; a sister, Virginia Condit of Bay City, Texas; three sons, Steve and his wife Vickie of Hoisington, Bruce of Hays, and Doug and his wife Linda of Great Bend; eight grandchildren; Sheven and John Copp, Stacie and Shelby Stone, Katey Basye, Addie Basye and Tane Brown, Amanda Basye, Jordan and Brynne Basye, Olivia Basye, Brett Basye and nine great-grandchildren; Jacob Basye, Jayme Bradley, Jaicie Bradley, Gentry Stone, Dylan Stone, Liam Stone, Daphne Copp, Brayden Copp, and Elliott Copp.
