He married Betty Lorraine Johnson December 31, 1947 at Great Bend, Kansas.  She died July 19, 2011.

He was a Dairy Department Manager for Dillon’s, retiring in 1983.

Mr. Garner was a Great Bend, Kansas resident most of his life.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Great Bend.

three grandchildren: Dink E. Garner III, Kamnika Sheron Garner, and Kelly Shannon

four great-grandchildren

 

He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Garner, Ward Garner, Amos Garner, and Silas Garner, and one sister, Carrie Bauchman.
