Philip James Weber

Garfield – Philip James Weber, 74, passed away December 7, 2014 at his home, Garfield.

He was born April 6, 1940 in Sheridan County, Kansas; the son of Martin and Hazel Schlicher Weber. A longtime area resident; moving from Hoxie to Garfield; he was a security officer for the Larned State Hospital and also worked for the Pawnee County CO-OP in Garfield.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Larned.

On February 6, 1965 he married Mary K. Unruh at Salina, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include; a son, Ty Weber, Larned; two daughters, Cherie Eakin, Larned and Crystal Kerns, Highland; a brother, Max Weber; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; two brothers, Kenneth Weber and Bill Weber and a sister Doris Arnold.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Larned with Pastors P.J. Southam and Margaret Gary presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date.
