OBITUARY INFORMATION

He was a 1948 graduate of Great Bend High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1953. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea and Japan. He married Loreta J. “Reta” Hill September 28, 1958 at Hoisington, Kansas. A lifetime Great Bend, resident, Mr. Brack began work at KCKT-TV as a sales representative until February 1956, when he started work for American State Bank and Bank IV, retiring in 1991 after more than 35 years of service.

Mr. Brack attended First Christian Church, Great Bend. He was a member of A. F. & A. M. Lodge #15, American Legion Argonne Post 180, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3111, B. P. O. Elks Lodge #1127, DAV, and Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, all of Great Bend. He was a life member of the Kansas State University Alumni Association, served more than 26 years on the Great Bend Housing Authority, was charter director of the Center for Counseling, and was past City of Great Bend treasurer.

 

SURVIVORS

Wife: Reta Brack, of the home

two sons: Brad Brack and his wife Phyllis of Great Bend, KS, and Scott Brack and his wife Rhonda of Wichita, KS

one brother: Ned Brack and his wife Georgellan of Great Bend, KS

Five Grandchildren: Ashlea Noonan and her husband Ryan, Andrea Bauer and her husband Rob, Lexie Brack, Zachary Brack, and Taylor Brack

Three Great-grandchildren: Aubrey Noonan, Ellie Noonan, and Brock Bauer

 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, C. M. Brack and infant Jack Brack.

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Funeral Service: Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Time of Service: 10:30 a.m.

Place of Service: First Christian Church in Great Bend

Officiant: The Reverend Joshua Leu

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: First Christian Church or Kans for Kids or Barton County Historical Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
