He was a dairy farmer and stockman and also the postmaster for Olmitz for twenty-five years.
Mr. Hlavaty was a lifetime Olmitz, Kansas resident.
He was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz, the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight, League of Postmasters, NARFE, Rural Water District Board for twelve years. He was a member of the Army Reserves. He enjoyed visiting with friends, going to his grandchildren’s events.
