She worked at the Larned Greenhouse and was a clerk for Food 4 Less and Dillons in Great Bend.
Mrs. Johnson was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1999 coming from South Fork, CO and Macksville, KS.
Elaine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Great Bend. She was a former member of O.E.S. and enjoyed knitting, playing piano, visiting with family and friends, and especially enjoyed and flowers.

One daughter: Jane Howard of Great Bend, KS
One grandson: Bart Howard and wife Brooke, of Las Vegas, NV
She was preceded in death by one son, James “Jim” Johnson, and grandson, Mason Howard.

Inurnment: Private family inurnment at Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend, Kansas, at a later date
Visitation: Noon to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2012, and 9:00 am until service time Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm Friday.
Memorial Fund: in lieu of flowers, Elaine L. Johnson and Mason J. Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund at Great Bend High School, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
