Mr. Janssen was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
A long time Great Bend, Kansas resident, Bill had been a private contractor for the United States Postal Service.
Bill was a member of the American Legion, Ness City, U.S.B.C. (United States Bowling Congress), and was a Kansas State U.S.B.C. 2014 Hall of Fame inductee. He enjoyed bowling, golf, softball, sporting events, and above all, he treasured his time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Willa Zimmer.
