Gonsalo (Steve) E. Lemuz

Larned – Gonsalo (Steve) E. Lemuz, 63, died September 5, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester Minnesota.

He was born December 10, 1949 at Larned, the son of Circilo and Josefa Marguez Lemuz. He worked in the Engineering Department at the Larned State Hospital and was a Lifetime area resident.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned

On October 19, 1974 he married Dana Bush in Larned KS, she survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Nathan and wife Christy, Larned, Scott and wife Judy, Larned; Four brothers, Tony and Isaac Larned, Jesse, Great Bend, Robert, Rozel; five sisters, Angela Rayla, Mary Del-Hierro, Louise Pierce and Helen Asher, all of Great Bend, Ramona Palleschi, Winthrop, Maine; and six grandchildren, Cody, Ethan, Callie, Karley, Gavin and Brooky.

He was preceded in death by one son Timothy; His Parents; Five Brothers, Lawrence, Andres, Luis, Luciano and Frank Lemuz.

Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned, Cemetery with military graveside rights.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Steffan was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1945 coming from Marienthal, Kansas.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella, all of Great Bend.

Julia Bernadine Davis

Julia Bernadine Davis, 96, died August 28, 2012 at Brush, Colorado. She was born December 15, 1916 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Elsie (Sloan) Goodman. She married Lloyd Milton Davis September 4, 1935 at Great Bend. He died in April 2006.  She was a baptized at Baker Avenue Baptist Church and was later a member of First United Methodist Church, Great Bend.  After moving to Colorado, she became a member of Akron Baptist Church, Akron, Colo.  She was a secretary and bookkeeper. 

Mrs. Davis was a member of Akron First Baptist Church, Rebekah Assembly of Kansas, Grand Ladies Encampment of Kansas, Department Assoc. Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs Militant of Kansas. 

Survivors include one son, Wayne and his wife Carolyn, Akron, Colorado; one daughter, Karen Neighbors, Great Bend, Kan.; eleven grandchildren, Brenda, Mark, Jeff, Brad, Scott, Caleb, Brian, Kent, Laryssa, Arthur Dean, and Jana; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. 

Graveside memorial service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Great Bend Cemetery. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate.  Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crawford was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1950 coming from Fairfax, Oklahoma.

He loved his family and playing pool.

She was born December 21, 1976 in Kansas City. She was a resident of Hill City and the Philipsburg area for the past ten years. She was a mother and a homemaker.

She attended the First Baptist Church of Larned.

In 2011, she married Kenneth Berends in Hill City. He survives.

Other survivors include; a daughter, Abigail Wanker, of the home; her parents, George and Kay Joseph-Elmore, Larned; a brother, Scott Elmore, Park City; a sister, Christina (Mike) Arnone, Kearny, MO.; Grandparents, Jack & Louise Elmore, Rozel and Mary Joseph, Garden City.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gilbert Joseph.
