Branden Gregery Paige

Branden Gregery Paige passed from this world much too quickly on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 from injuries sustained in an accident on August 4, 2013.  He was 19 years of age.

Branden was born on January 26, 1994 to Jerry Paige and Shaunna Fielder Keenan.  He was raised on the family farm southwest of White City.  He lived there his entire life except for a short period of time when he resided in Herington.  He was a 2012 graduate of White City High School, and was preparing to head back to Salina Area Vo-Tech for his second year of studies in the electrician program.  Through the past two summers, Branden had been working on an internship with Jones Electric in Herington.

Branden was an avid sportsman and played Huskie football and basketball, and most summers you could find him crouched behind the plate of the White City baseball fields, catching for his Farm Club teams.  When not on a field, diamond or court, Branden spent most of his time outdoors and on the farm.  He loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends, ride his horse whether for pleasure or to help on the families’ cattle operation.  He also had recently purchased his own heifers to begin his first cow herd.

Branden is survived by his parents: Jerry and Dianne Paige of the home, Shaunna and Levi Keenan of Great Bend, four sisters: Eryka Paige, Kelci Sly, Kilynn Kasten and Kasey Kasten, one brother: Kyler Kasten and wife Tanna, a very beloved niece Kamryn Anderson, grandparents: Bill and Judy Paige of White City and Kelly and Carol Fielder of Herington, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an enormous network of friends.

Branden will be forever remembered for his bright red hair, contagious smile, quick-wit and irreplaceable personality.  He never knew a stranger and would always make the time to talk to both young and old.  Though our hearts are very heavy right now, we know that his memories will forever live on.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Branden Paige Memorial Fund with money being used towards replacing the White City west ball field’s lights.  They may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel, PO Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846.

A family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 at the White City United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 17th at the Herington Community Building.  Interment will follow at Clarks Creek Cemetery.
