After graduating from Hoisington High School in 1966 he attended Wichita Automotive School, then after graduation he
was drafted into the US Army serving in the Vietnam War.

On July 9, 1971 he married Donita Bahr of Hoisington where they resided until his death.

In 2008 he retired after 22 years with the City of Hoisington Power Plant.

He loved his grandchildren, as well as an avid lottery crossword player, loved to go to casinos, was a sportsman,
NASCAR fan & loved restoring old cars in his time. He was a member & trustee of the VFW Post 7428 Hoisington,
supported POW/MIA, member and former steward of IBEW Local Union 304, member and past president of the Central
Kansas Wildlife Club of Hoisington and former Webelos Leader of Cub Scout Pack 113 of Hoisington.

He is survived by his wife of the home, his mother of Hoisington, two sons Travis Crutcher and wife Carla of Clay Center
and Tyler Crutcher and wife Caicey of Hoisington. He is the proud grandfather of four grandchildren Madeline and Will
Crutcher of Clay Center and Claire and Christine Crutcher of Hoisington. Also survived by his pet companion Mac. Also
surviving are his siblings Dianne Scott of Hoisington, Wynee Weatherbee of Manhattan and William F. “Bill” Crutcher of
Hoisington.

He is preceded in death by his father William E. Crutcher and nephews Brian Scott and Jordon Boor.

He graduated from Otis Rural High School, then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After service, he
attended and graduated from Nashville Auto-Diesel College, Nashville, TN, in Auto-Diesel Repair and Welding. He was
employed at St. Mary of the Plains College, Dodge City, KS, as a director of Maintenance and Engineering and bus
driver. After closing the college, he worked for Methodist Youthville, in Dodge City, until retiring. He then continued to
farm for eight years. He held a private pilot’s licence and loved to fly and do wood working.

He married Melba Strecker October 25, 1964, at Galatia. He later married Dolores D. Zimmerman on March 17, 1979,
at LaCrosse. She survives.

Larned-Deborah K. (Debbie) George, 57, died February 15, 2013 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned.

She was born August 24, 1955 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Larned, the daughter of Lloyd W. and Katherine L. Debes
George. She moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1960 for schooling at North Broadway, until she was 21, and then she worked at
Boulder County Workshop. On February of 1993, she moved back to Kansas and worked at Sunflower Diversified Services.

Survivors included: mother Katherine L. George, Larned; one brother, Alan George and wife Debra, Boulder, Colorado; nephew, Robert and Linda Kelsey and boys, Boulder, Colorado; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd W .George; Grandparents Albert and Olivia Debes, Hilda Tammen George Petersen and Herman George.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned with Sister Virginia Pearl presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Belpre – Joyce J. Gales, 75, died February 16, 2013 at her home in Belpre. She was born April 7, 1937 in Harper, the daughter of William and  Garnett Yordon Parker. She worked at the Henry Laird Library, Belpre.

She as of the Christian/Catholic faith. She was a member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary, and the St. Bernard’s Alter Society.

On October 16, 1956, she married Robert Gales in Larned. He survives.
