Mrs. Rajewski was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1959 coming from Hays, Kansas.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, past president and Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary

She graduated from Garfield High School and attended Ft. Hays State University.
Mrs. Wilhelm was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1990 coming from the farm in Timken, KS
She was a farm wife and homemaker and also taught school, was a retail clerk, telephone operator, and election board
worker.
She loved music, singing and dancing. She led “Sing Along with Mary” a weekly time of singing at the Sterling House.
She also was coordinator for the Christmas Eve programs at both the Albert Methodist Church and King Memorial
Methodist Church.
She had been a member of the Albert Methodist Church until closing and then joined King Memorial United Methodist
Church in Great Bend. She was a member of the U.M.W. and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Coterie
Club, Garfield Merry Matrons (EHU), Silver and Gold Club, Joy Club and Great Bend Community Concert Association,
and the High Rise Kitchen Band. She was involved in various community / church choirs in Barton and Rush Counties.
She had participated in the local Senior Center Fashion Review.

Mr. Sharp was a farmer and operated a poultry business and a swine confinement operation.  He was also a Hutchinson News motor carrier.

Mr. Sharp was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas resident.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, officer, and deacon; was active in Barton County Farm Bureau; and was a community 4-H leader.

Philip Clifford Atteberry

Larned – Philip Clifford Atteberry, 74, died January 18, 2012, at the Hospice
House, Hutchinson.

He was born December 12, 1937, in Larned, the son of Clifford C. and Wanda
Mae Artz Atteberry. He was a lifetime area resident.

He graduated from Larned High School in 1956, and entered the United States
Marine Corps, Tanks-Recon in 1956. Then he went into law enforcement
approximately ten years, four of which he was an undersheriff for Pawnee
County from 1970-1974. Then from January 1974 he went to work for the State
of Kansas as a Station Supervisor for the Driver License Bureau. He retired from
the State of Kansas in April 2000. He was a member of the United Methodist
Church and Larned Country Club, both of Larned. The Great Bend Lodge No. 15
A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite, both of Great Bend, and Isis Temple in Salina.

Survivors include: a son, Terry Atteberry, Kinsley; two daughters, Cynthia
Atteberry, Wichita, Lorie Hibert, Rose Hill; a brother, Jack Atteberry, Larned;
a sister, Karen Karrelis, Richmond, VA; three grandchildren and one great
grandchild.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel,
Larned, with Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to
8p.m. Thursday and Friday at the mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned
Cemetery, Larned, with Military Graveside Rites.

James L. Boyce

            James L. “Jim” Boyce, age 75 years, of Great Bend, passed away at Great Bend Regional Hospital in Great Bend on Monday afternoon, January 16, 2012.  Jim was born on October 25, 1936 at Lyons, Kansas to Louis and Mabel (Wieter) Boyce.  He lived in Lyons, Wichita, Hutchinson, and Great Bend, Kansas while growing up and graduated from Great Bend High School in 1956.  Jim was united in marriage to Sandra J. Dwelley on October 25, 1978 at Swan Valley, Idaho.  The couple lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho and also Whittier, California, where Jim worked as a pipefitter for Southern California Gas Company of Hacienda Heights, California, retiring in October of 1998, at which time they moved back to Great Bend.  Jim was an avid fly fisherman and loved gardening, and was known for helping people any way he could.

            Survivors include his wife, Sandra J. Boyce of Great Bend; two sons:  Steven W. (and his wife, Carol) Skolas of Great Bend and James L. (and his wife, Deborah) Boyce, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; four daughters:  Jacquelyn (and her husband, Robert) Fisher of San Clemente, California, Stacey Boyce of Whittier, California, Kimberly (and her husband, Randy) Troxel of Sacramento, California, and Kelly (and her husband, Tom) Fujibayashi of Scottsdale, Arizona; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Boyce of Independence, Missouri.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters (Roxcena Boyce and Janice Van Brimmer).

John Donovan Neeland

John Donovan Neeland died at his home in Colorado Springs, CO. on Thursday, January 12th, 2012. The son
of Donovan and Mary Agnes “Mamie” (Risse) Neeland, he was born in Great Bend, Kansas on November 6th,
1930. He graduated from GBHS in 1949 and attended Kansas State University.

He served his country in the Armed Forces during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He worked in
the banking industry in Kansas and Colorado until his retirement. He was City Treasurer of Great Bend for
20 years. He also was involved in farming and ranching before leaving Kansas in 1995 when he moved to
Colorado.

On January 31st, 1953, he married Elaine Habiger. They later divorced. He then married Imogene Wilson.
She died January 3rd, 1994. He married Emma Greenlee on May 31st, 1995 in Colorado Springs. She died on
October 2nd, 2009.

John was a member of the VFW, ELKS, American Legion, and Eagles of Great Bend and Colorado Springs.
He was a current member of the VFW Honor Guard in Colorado Springs. He was of the Catholic faith and
was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed civic clubs and reading.
John is survived by his four children, Dennis (Rosalind) Neeland of Great Bend, David (Linda) Neeland
of Radium, Nancy (Leland) Neeland-Barnes of Hutchinson, and Michael (Carol) Neeland of Wassenaar,
The Netherlands. He is survived by four step-children, Nancy Greenlee of Kansas City, Becky Stoppel of
Holcomb, Diane Elmore of Colorado Springs, and John Greenlee of Kansas City. He is also survived by his
sister Christie (Charles) Keeler of Great Bend, 11 grandchildren, Hillary (Aaron) Emerson, Graham Neeland,
Amy Neeland, Robert (Jesse) Neeland, Mark Neeland, Wyatt Neeland, Rachel Barnes, Allison Barnes, Ellery
Barnes, Kelsey Neeland, and Luke Neeland, and 2 great-grandchildren, Elaine Emerson and Carston Neeland.
John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul Neeland and Michael Neeland and a sister Zita
Kreutzer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 24th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10:30 am with
Father Reginald Urban officiating. Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. There will be no visitation as
cremation has taken place.

Memorials are suggested to the Golden Belt Humane Society, or Holy Family School, in care of Bryant
Funeral Home, Great Bend.

Jewell LaRue LoVette, 94, died January 15, 2012 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned. 

She was born May 23, 1917, at Lewis the daughter of Charlie and Sadie S. McCarty Darby. A lifetime resident of Lewis, she was a Homemaker.

She belonged to Church of Christ, Larned and Sunny Side HDU, Lewis.

She married Wyeth Delos LoVette, October 29, 1947 at Wichita.  He died on April 12, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, Larry, Gainesville, Texas and Bill and wife Sherry, Lewis, brother, Orville Darby, Clinton, Missouri, son-in-law, Craig Ragan, Kiowa,  6 grandchildren, Shari Kilbourne, Kristi Mausolf, Dolly Woodle, Amy Baker, Lacey Reeves and Travis LoVette, and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Ragan.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Church of Christ, Larned, Minister James Underwood presiding.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned.  Burial will be in the Wayne Cemetery, Lewis.
